Description of Services:

Non-profit organization supporting people and communities affected by the criminal justice system * focuses on prevention, intervention, and re-integration * advocates for fair treatment of all incarcerated people * life skills training and community development

  • Community Case Management and Supervision (CCMS) Program The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) implemented a national Community Case Management and Supervision (CCMS) program, in partnership with the John Howard Society of Canada, to provide an alternative to detention for those who would otherwise be detained in custody awaiting the resolution of their immigration issues * offers intensive community supervision and case management services to eligible individuals so they can be safely supervised in the community

  • Indigenous Services Program Culturally relevant probation and parole supervision for Indigenous youth and adults * workers use traditional Indigenous approaches in supervising sentence orders for their clients

  • Women's Group Weekly support group for women who have a loved one involved in the criminal justice system * confidential setting to share experiences and emotions, and to develop new coping skills
