Description of Services:
Ensures the safety and security of all children who are registered, eligible to be registered and community members of Oneida Nation of the Thames
Enforcing the Child, Youth and Family Services Act
Responding to protection applications
Working with Children’s Aid Society during investigations
Participating and responding to child protection hearings
Ensuring that cultural values are adhered to during Children’s Aid investigations
Implementing cultural programming that impacts children and teaches them about Oneida heritage and tradition
Assist families in navigating the child welfare process through referrals to legal services
Acts as a party in all child welfare court proceedings and meetings with case workers
Provides referrals to other Indigenous programs and services
