This workshop isn’t just about sharing feelings…. it’s a whole lot more.

  • Learn the difference between affective and cognitive empathy to avoid burnout
  • Identify your own biases and the affect they have on patients
  • Familiarize yourself with the IN GEAR model

This fast-paced, highly interactive workshop combines opportunities for self-reflection and practical skill-building, for fostering equity in healthcare through consistent patient-centeredness, enhancing the healthcare professional’s ability to convey empathy and build trusting relationships.

The workshop is appropriate for everyone. Anyone who encounters patients in the health care system shares the responsibility to ensure the best care and outcomes possible for every patient. The full Empathy Effect workshop will be delivered in 2 virtual sessions via Zoom. You must attend both sessions. All you need is access to a computer with a camera and microphone, iPad, iPhone or android device to participate.
